Chapter Philanthropy

National Philanthropy Day: On Phi Mu's National Philanthropy Day (the third Monday of October), the members of Epsilon Epsilon join our sisters across the country in dedicating our day to serving the community in various ways. 

Miracle Week: One week in the fall and spring semester, Phi Mu raises money for Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Our chapter does this by a bake sale throughout the week, give-back nights with local restaurants, information sessions, and our big event Miracle Mac or Milkshakes for Miracles. All proceeds raised from these events go to Oklahoma City's local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

Miracle Mac: An event at our spring philanthropy week, original to Epsilon Epsilon chapter at Oklahoma City University is "Miracle Mac," which is open to all members of the campus and community and benefits the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu's National Philanthropy. Our members set up a $5 all you can eat macaroni and cheese bar and invite local music groups and individuals to perform.

Milkshakes for Miracles: Our fall philanthropy event, new to OCU as of Fall 2021, is milkshakes galore! We serve multiple different flavors of milkshakes all made by our sisters! Chocolate, cookies and cream, mint chip, and even the Phi Mu special! Just $5 for unlimited milkshakes and a guaranteed night of fun with live music and milkshakes! 

Other Philanthropy and Service

In addition to our national and chapter philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, we also participate in other local philanthropy and community service events throughout the year. Past events include: preparing food at the OKC Food Bank, painting homes with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering at OKC Compassion and Hope center of Edmond, and the Boys and Girls Club.
